Dr. Craig has always known that he wanted to be a dentist. Growing up, he was fortunate to have a family dentist who was upbeat and energetic, and never made dental care feel intimidating. As the daughter of a dentist, Dr. Bethany grew up watching her dad practice and improve his patient’s lives through quality dental care. From a young age, she knew that dentistry would be part of her future. Now that she has a practice of her own in Altadena, it feels like her dream is finally realized.
This was my first time visiting Dr. Cheng, and I'm so glad I went to him. He was super approachable and friendly, and walked me through every step of the process while I was in the office. He took the time to discuss my concerns and gave me recommendations that were specific and practical. His staff is equally professional and warm, and incredibly quick and organized. I'd recommend Dr. Cheng to anyone looking for their next lifetime dentist.
The staff is highly knowledgable on dental procedures and insurance coverages. Today Juan took my x-rays using their new digital tool, explaining each step and apologizing for any discomfort the task may cause. Dr. Cheng was very clear when talking about the results of my x-rays and able to answer any questions I had. Overall the staff is extremely friendly and I would highly suggest this dental clinic.
I have gone to this dentist ever since I was a child, it’s the only dentist I’ve ever been to and that my mom’s side of the family has ever been to. When I hear horror stories of other people’s dentist experiences I can honestly say I can and will never relate to them. Dr. Malouf has given us nothing but the best care and same with Dr. Cheng and staff (shoutout to hygienist Liz for being amazing too!) you all truly are the best and I would never recommend anywhere else. I literally drive from Pomona to them in Pasadena to get my dental care, they’re that good. If I could give 1,000/5 stars I would!!

Our entire family including my 2 pre-schoolers love going to see Dr. Bethany Kum and Dr. Craig Cheng for the past 3 years. They truly care and that’s the difference between other dental offices I’ve been to that change doctors on me without advanced notification, up sell me on regular deep cleaning and push procedures when it wasn’t necessary. They look after us for the long run to make sure I am educated on my own dental health and how to practically care for my kids’ teeth. Dr. Bethany did a quick lesson for my daughter on how to get rid of those “sugar bugs”! I’ll post a photo to prove how relaxing it could be for a 4 year old to lounge at a dental cleaning. We’re lucky to have them in our neighborhood! Free and easy parking too which is a bonus.
I absolutely trust them with my dental care. They are always flexible and accommodating when I need an appointment. Been coming here for years and have not had a bad experience. Entire staff is super friendly and professional. :D
This is the first time I have written a Google review for anyone but it is deserving. I had nothing but great experiences while going to see Dr. Cheng. Cristina the office administrator has been great and she does a great job explaining everything they are doing and listening to what I have to say. He keeps me calm during all of my appointments and answers all of my questions. After seeing many different dentists I can say that Dr. Cheng and his team are the best I have seen and I will continue to go there and would highly recommend them to anyone.
I recently moved to California and needed to find a new dentist and I was a little nervous because I had some less than great experiences with other dentists in the past. Dr. Cheng turned out to be fantastic. He answered every question I had and has been very accommodating and easy to work with. Unlike other places I've been, I always feel welcomed at his office by his team. One person in particular stood out for me. I believe her name is Cristina. Every time I walk in I get a welcome and a smile. She checks me in and has me take a seat. If still waiting in the lobby she checks in on me and asks if there is anything I need. She answers any questions I have no matter how ridiculous they may sound. All I have to say is that the results of my treatments have been fantastic so far. Dr. Cheng is an excellent and incredibly gentle dentist.
